Feel free to follow along and share this beautiful Story Massage for Younger Children, demonstrated in Turkish by Amura-An Ayrik. The accompanying documents are all available free of charge in the Childrens Resources Library back on the Home Page. Let's spread peace and love around the world with Lizzie Ladybird...
My name is Amura-An. I work as a Yoga Specialist, and I run a Yoga Studio for SEN (Special Educational Needs) Children & Students at St Piers School aka Young Epilepsy in Surrey.
I have adapted yoga into a more therapeutic way to suit the needs of individuals with such challenging, complex conditions. Positive touch plays an important part in our Special Yoga practice, by helping students to relax, connect with their body easier, feel safe and grounded. In time, this further helps with developing body awareness for overall wellbeing.
I live in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. My native language is Turkish. When I was invited by the Pro-Touch Movement to take part in their project for translating the Lizzie Ladybird ‘Peace’ massage story, I felt happy and proud. It’s been such joy to be a part of this volunteering group to make massage stories available and accessible for as many children around the world as possible.
I hope everybody enjoys the massage stories in the Children’s Library and applies them with care and respect wherever they are.
